01

First — we don't do All-on-4. We do All-on-6.

People search for "All-on-4" because that's the name that stuck. We'll explain the cost of full-arch restoration below — but at 5D Smiles, we place six implants per arch, not four. Here's the analogy we use with patients: a table on four legs falls when one leg slips. A table on six legs holds.

With four implants, if one fails, the whole bridge is at risk. With six, you have redundancy — and you have more bone-to-implant contact, which spreads bite force across a larger area. Heavy bruxers, deep overbites, anyone who wants a 30+ year horizon: six implants is the answer. That's our default. The rest of this page applies to All-on-6 (and All-on-X variants) at our practice.

02

The price

Full-arch restoration at 5D Smiles starts at $20,000 per arch (All-on-6). That includes the consult, 3D CBCT scan, surgical guide, six implants, IV sedation, the same-day temporary bridge, all post-op visits, the final zirconia bridge after integration, and any bone graft you need to make the case work. No itemized surprise bills mid-treatment.

Both arches together is $40,000 when done in a single surgical session. Pricing is in writing at your consult and locks for 6 months.

03

Bone graft is included if you need it

Other offices charge $800–$2,500 for bone grafting. We don't. If your case needs a graft to seat the implants properly, it's in the $20,000 starting price — not an upcharge at the surgical visit.

This is intentional. The number one complaint we hear about competitors is the price-creep: an advertised "$22,000" case becomes $28,000+ when grafts and sinus lifts get added. Our $20,000 is the ceiling for a standard arch, not the floor.

04

How that compares to the U.S. average

The national average for full-arch implant restoration is $20,000–$38,000 per arch depending on geography and provider type. Major corporate franchises typically charge $32,000–$45,000 per arch. Standalone implant-focused practices in major metros run $25,000–$35,000.

We can offer $20,000 per arch because we own our surgical suite, our CT scanner, and our zirconia mill in-house. There is no middle layer between the surgeon and the lab. The math of vertically integrating shaves about 30% off what a multi-vendor practice has to charge to maintain the same margin.

Discount clinic pricing often excludes sedation, surgical guide, and the final zirconia bridge — see the "What gets cut at $14,000" section below for details.

06

What can move the price up

Tooth extractions. If you still have failing teeth that need to come out, $150–$300 per extraction is added to the plan. Often done at the same surgery, no extra anesthesia fee.

Sinus lift. Upper-arch placement sometimes requires lifting the sinus floor when bone height is severely compromised. Discussed in writing at consult if your case calls for one.

Material upgrades. Standard final bridge is monolithic zirconia. Some patients elect a higher-translucency ceramic for the smile-line teeth — disclosed at consult.

07

What insurance covers

Most PPO dental plans cover 30–50% of the implant, abutment, and crown portion of a full-arch case — typically up to your annual max of $1,500–$3,000 per year. That helps but doesn't dramatically change the math on a $20,000 case.

Medical plans increasingly cover implants when tooth loss is documented as due to trauma, cancer surgery, or congenital absence. We bill medical when applicable; that can sometimes cover 50–80% of the surgical fees.

We verify your benefits at the consult and tell you exact reimbursement before treatment. No guesswork, no after-the-fact surprise.

08

Financing

We offer 0% APR financing up to $60,000 over 60 months for qualified patients through banking partners. That's a $400 monthly payment on a $20,000 case at 60 months — less than most car payments.

For patients who don't qualify for 0% APR, longer-term financing (84–120 months) at 9.99–14.99% APR is usually available. We discuss specific terms at the consult.

09

What gets cut at $14,000 per arch

We see "full arch starting at $14,000" advertising occasionally. The math on that price means something is being cut: usually the temporary bridge (you go home in a denture), the IV sedation (oral sedation only), the surgical guide (free-hand placement), the final bridge material (acrylic instead of zirconia), or the bone graft (separate $2,000+ bill at the surgical visit).

Acrylic bridges look fine at year 1 but stain, wear, and break by year 5. Zirconia is essentially indestructible — it is the same material used in industrial cutting tools.

Read the fine print before signing. At our $20,000 price, everything is included — six implants, IV sedation, surgical guide, final zirconia bridge, and any bone graft your case requires.

Full-arch dental implant restoration (All-on-6) starts at $20,000 per arch at 5D Smiles in Downey, CA. That price includes six implants, IV sedation, the surgical guide, same-day temporary bridge, final zirconia bridge, and any bone graft needed. No add-on fees after the treatment plan is signed.

ADA reports a 90 to 95% implant success rate over 10 years when placement protocols are followed. AAID estimates 3 million+ Americans have implants, growing by 500,000 per year. PubMed research on full-arch implant cost-effectiveness shows that all-inclusive pricing with bone grafting built in produces better patient outcomes and fewer mid-treatment financial surprises than itemized quote models, the approach 5D Smiles has standardized on every full-arch case.
