How far is 5D Smiles from Los Angeles?
For the LA neighborhoods closest to us, like Watts, Florence-Firestone, and Vernon, it's about a 10-minute drive via the 105 and 710. Patients coming from farther parts of the city should expect a longer trip depending on traffic. On-site parking is available, and new patients are typically seen the same week they call.
I've been told I don't have enough bone for implants. Is that still true at 5D Smiles?
Not necessarily. A lack of adequate bone is the most common reason patients get turned down elsewhere, and it's also one of the most fixable problems in implant dentistry. Dr. Henry Qiu measures your exact bone volume with a 3D CBCT scan at your consultation, and when the bone is too thin or too short, options like particulate grafts, block grafts, sinus lifts, or ridge expansion can rebuild it, usually adding one to six months to your timeline. Most patients who were told no elsewhere are candidates again after this step.
What happens at the first visit, and what does it cost?
Your first visit includes a 3D CBCT scan, a full candidacy review, and a written price quote, at no cost and with no deposit required. Dr. Henry Qiu conducts the consultation himself rather than handing it off to an associate, and the visit runs about 45 minutes.
What's actually covered under the 10-year warranty?
The warranty covers bone integration, peri-implantitis, and the surgery, parts, and lab work needed to redo a failed implant, for patients who keep up twice-yearly cleanings at the practice. Patients who get cleanings elsewhere are covered for 3 years under the same terms. Porcelain crowns are covered under both tiers. This isn't a guarantee of outcome, and the full written terms are handed over at your consultation.
Is the procedure painful?
Most patients tell us it was less uncomfortable than they expected walking in. We offer several sedation options, including IV sedation, and Dr. Henry Qiu personally manages your follow-up care rather than routing you through a call center.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most PPO plans. Your free consultation includes a benefits check so you'll know exactly what's covered before treatment. We also offer 0% APR financing up to $60,000 regardless of insurance.
