What the drive looks like from every Long Beach neighborhood

Our office is at 8500 Florence Ave, Suite 100, in Downey, just off the 605 freeway at Florence Ave. Long Beach covers a large geographic footprint, but every corner of the city has a clear freeway path to our door.

From Belmont Shore and Naples Island: Take PCH north to the 405 freeway eastbound. Merge onto the 605 north at the interchange, then exit Florence Ave east. Total distance is roughly 18 miles; plan for 22 minutes in mid-morning traffic. Patients on the Pacific side of Long Beach can also take Lakewood Blvd north directly for a surface-street route in about 25 minutes.

From Downtown Long Beach: Take the 710 freeway north to the Florence Ave exit, then Florence Ave east about one mile. Downtown to our office runs about 22 minutes without freeway congestion. Patients near the Convention Center or Rainbow Lagoon often find this the cleanest route.

From Bixby Knolls and Cal Heights: Take the 405 east to the 605 north, exit Florence Ave. Bixby Knolls is one of the closest Long Beach neighborhoods to our office; the drive is typically 18 to 22 minutes. Atlantic Ave heading north also connects directly to Firestone Blvd and then east to our block.

From the CSU Long Beach area: Take the 405 east to the 605 north. The university sits just south of the 405 and 605 interchange, making this one of the shortest drives from Long Beach, about 20 minutes. Faculty, staff, and students can book a mid-morning slot and be back on campus for an afternoon class.

Parking: free 30-space lot behind the building, accessed from the alley off Brookshire Ave. No meters, no time limits. The lot is ADA-compliant with two handicap spaces directly adjacent to the suite entrance. If you are being driven home after IV sedation, the alley curb has an unmarked pickup zone families can use without entering the lot.

Long Beach Convention Center and The Pike anchor the downtown waterfront at Pine Ave and Shoreline Drive. The Convention Center hosts more than 200 events per year, drawing a steady stream of business travelers and local professionals who often fit a consultation into a conference week. The Pike outlets sit directly adjacent, and several of our downtown Long Beach patients book an appointment on the way back from a convention and combine it with dinner at the waterfront. The 710 north from downtown to our Downey office adds about 22 minutes to either end of a workday.

CSU Long Beach is the largest university in the Cal State system by enrollment, with over 38,000 students and a full-time faculty and staff population of several thousand. The campus sits just south of the 405/605 interchange, which is also the on-ramp to our office. Faculty members on comprehensive dental benefits and graduate students without employer coverage both find our transparent all-in pricing valuable: the consultation quote is the treatment price, no surprises. The Port of Long Beach is one of the busiest container ports in North America, employing tens of thousands of longshoremen, crane operators, truckers, and logistics workers on rotating shift schedules. Port workers often have above-average dental benefits through ILWU Local 13 and related union trusts, but irregular hours make booking implant appointments at standard practices difficult.
